Moonlight Healing aims to ensure that no client, supplier or visitor suffers discrimination for any reason including: race, sex, pregnancy and maternity, marital or civil partnership status, gender reassignment, disability, religion or beliefs, age or sexual orientation. Moonlight Healing was founded on the belief that our services should be available to all to promote mental, emotional, spiritual and physical wellbeing.
Responsibility of Moonlight Healing:

Responsibilities of all visitors to Moonlight Healing:

All visitors to Moonlight Healing are required to follow the principles of this policy.

Do not discriminate against anyone else regardless of the reason.

Do not encourage others to discriminate.

If you have received or observed discrimination, harassment or abuse from another visitor to Moonlight Healing report it to a member of staff immediately.
Recruitment

All applications for employment are treated as confidential and will be considered on the strength of their application during including application form, interview and assessment.

Applicants will not be biased for any reason, including: race, sex, pregnancy and maternity, marital or civil partnership status, gender reassignment, disability, religion or beliefs, age or sexual orientation.

The interview settling will be adjusted as far as possible to allow for specific accessibility requirements.
Employment

All employees are expected to comply with this policy.

If you see an instance of discrimination, harassment or abuse from another employee or visitor you must report this to Jane Hale immediately.

If a visitor is acting inappropriately towards another visitor you are expected to explain that their actions are inappropriate, unless you feel it is unsafe to do so. In this event either call Jane Hale or if necessary, call 999 and request the police.

You will be treated with respect at all times by Moonlight Healing.

You will not be disadvantaged for any reason, including: race, sex, pregnancy and maternity, marital or civil partnership status, gender reassignment, disability, religion or beliefs, age or sexual orientation.

You have a responsibility to promote equal opportunities at Moonlight Healing, including identifying areas for improvement to the premises, equipment, services, working practices and the Equal Opportunities Policy.

If you feel you are being discriminated against you can complain in confidence to Jane Hale or if you are not satisfied you can complain to ACAS within three months of the incident.
Advertising:
Moonlight Healing will follow the principles of this policy when advertising and working with our suppliers to ensure our advertisements are accessible.
Service Delivery:

We will ensure that we make our premises as accessible as reasonably possible and where appropriate make adjustments to aid in accessibility.

We will adjust our equipment where possible to accommodate different requirements.

We will talk through the treatment so it can be adjusted to accommodate your requirements as far as reasonably possible.

If you have a specific requirement, please let us know as soon as possible so we can look at making adjustments. This includes physical accessibility and allergies.

All information provided will be legible and in plain English; we will be happy to read out any information or email it to you so that it is accessible via a screen reader.
Making a Complaint:
All complaints are treated with respect and in complete confidentiality.

If you feel Moonlight Healing has discriminated again you in anyway in the first instance report it to Jane Hale or email using our contact us form.

If following our internal complaints process you still feel the matter is unresolved please contact the “Reiki Federation” to register a complaint against us (complaints@reikifed.co.uk).
